Just got one and I love it! I did my home work on the real one, before buying and found this correct in the 6 shot and no loading leaver for some of the 1860-63 versions. Close enough in all else to make me satisfied I could use it in fiction illustrating and writing as a good guide to the real thing. I even found one real one so close in detail on auction that I mistook for a Denix!

Love this pistol, it feels right in the hand and looks pretty neat too. Mine doesn't always line up correctly but I don't want to take it apart to see if it can be fixed. As suggested it really does polish up well. I also have all the accessories the real one came with, looks great on display.

Very realistic and easy to customize to make it even more realistic apart from the 6 shot instead of 5 shot.
The Wells Fargo is a good back up gun or ladies pistol for reenactment of the Civil War period.

I've had my Wells Fargo 1849 for five years and it's still as good as new. I would like to know if Denix are planning to update this model with a longer barrel or engraving etc. I still don't understand why the half nickel and half black is so popular as it's not as authentic looking as the antique grey one in my humble opinion.

Nicely made replica, quite realistic, I would like to see a all nickel revolver instead of the two tone one and as other reviewers have said a five shot cylinder with chambers and barrel having the same size bore too.
